Florizelle O’Connor
Jamaican pioneering Human Rights advocate and practitioner, Florizelle O’Connor facilitated the submission of numerous successful Human Rights cases to the Privy Council in London and the United Nations Human Rights Committee in Geneva.
She served for seven years as the elected representative for Jamaica on the United Nations Sub Commission for the Protection and Promotion of Human Rights, Geneva.
She is currently serving as an elected member of the National Assembly of the OMCT, Geneva.
Graduate of the UWI and the University of Strassbourg, Ms. O’Connor has served as Consultant on Human Rights to the Ministries of Justice and National Security, member of Commissions of Inquiry and several Boards.
She Lectures, on invitation, in educational institutions from Primary thru to University level.
Ms. O’Connor has worked as news writer, television programme producer and talk show host.
